The idea was that members would update it occasionally so that other members could check the pedigree book and see if they have common surnames. <br /><br />In practice, some submit it and others don't. Does that not discourage newcomers to genealogy who want to learn how to do research?<br /><br />It is great to encourage members to develop one that can be handed in to be part of your files, but if done too early could they be not filled with many errors.<br /><br />I certainly couldn't have done a 5 generation chart when I became a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society back in 1989.Janet Ileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10742257036879298830noreply@blogger.com
